Im reading. oh my. the shock. Ive never been one of those book worms humans. I preferred reading the zigzag back to front or sitting at the beach rather that opening a book. But recently I realised that i spend an hour an a half on the tube everyday. thats wasted time. You cant really sleep because then you miss your stop and that sucks so instead Ive taken to reading. its kinda relaxing and a yet makes me wake up before woke. I also look like one of those weirdos who reads on the tube.
So anyway i am now reading The Beach by Alex Garland. It was a good movie from what i can remember (i was young and my mom just kept telling me to close my eyes and then I think I fell asleep sometime during the movie). but as I read the book all the bits and peices are falling into place and some arent as dramatic as I had made them out to be and some are crazy to think that i didnt remeber them. But i do know that the book and the movie are different too.
but my favourite quote has definalty have to be ''Escape through travel works. Almost from the moment i boarded my flight, life in England became meaningless. Seat-belt signs lit up, problems switched off. Broken armrests took precedence over broken hearts. By the time the plane was airborne I'd forgotten England even existed."
how true is that.
and whilst we on quotes... a friend said to me ''we usually on the same sort of lines of how we think and feel and what not, so i read this somewhere today and its rather cool. i mean i can relate to it. u know tom robbins. cool author. he is good. its from him''
We waste time looking for the perfect lover, instead of taking the time to create the perfect love.''

I just spent some ridiciously rad time in CT with some of the best people in my life. it was a few months ago. like im taking 4 or so. I was there first for a training camp with my team to go to Reunion. Well lets say it was fun, had a few lags and went out with the TEQUILATASH. We watched the ragdolls live. (I only remember that because i had one of the weirdest hangovers e
ver from that night). I then spent a week or two with tash, SG and, im going to call her Roisin now because she can dance in a car to Roisin Murphys song Ramalama like a machine, but her name is trace, in their home. I would normally call it their house but its as far from a house as you can get. its a home full of memories and lags and stolen items from bars. and cats. two cats. anyway these three betties made me feel right at home like i had known them for years. They showed me all the things to love in Kaap Stad. they basically transferred all their joy in their lives onto me and i couldnt resist it. i took it all in and fell in love with Cape Town.. its now my favourite place.
Sometime during this month away from little old slumville and the month spent in the western cape, nikitaaaarobb joined the gang and we thus had a few more jols. it was fun. some looseness... hello Aloose. some drama. some glitter hahaha yea just plan old simple fun in the sun.

after that i had to leave this home and head for the kom. i dislike kom. its not my favourite. not nearly there. we tal

king lower level of the list. shame.. but anyways we had SA champs and thats my favourite so i made it work. the border team and I all stayed at a buddist retreat. we had booked out the whole accomation and it was a mad house. really fun. but all im saying is never stay on a touchfarm. screw you chicken for pooping on my stuff. ha
i placed 3rd in the event. not my greatest but at least i managed to retain my own personal record of making every final of every SA champs for the last 7 or 8 years.
So special thanks goes out to Trace, Stace, Tash, Pheobop and smitdog for letting me stay and for showing me how wonderful Cape Town can be. say hello to the mountain.

I really love Christmas. i love the build up. the decorations. the food. the family. the drama. the presents. the alcohol. the fun. did i say i really love Christmas. its my favourite holiday! and 2010 was one to remember! It was my first Christmas away from my parents but i spent it with my family here in London, well not in london but in the counrty so it was so much better. we had a real white christmas... like the ones you on those american tv shows. snow outside, amazing tree, fire place, everyone wearing christmas jerseys, big family and good food!

check out this blog a couple of my friends and I are doing. 2 girls in Cape Town... stace and trace, the queen of Ballito... Tammy lee as well as our home town hero nikitaaaaaa.

this is London. Some days it can be pretty and other days not so much. Its cold but its a new experience so I cant really complain about that much as most people dont even get to ever leave there little towns back in SA. While Ive been here I have checked out some museums and done some touristy things like that and ive experienced the night life too. Most important I got to play in real snow. Imtalking about snow so real you wanna cut your own hands off after 10 minutes of playing in it.
